We’re wrapping up February and stepping into March, a time of transition, renewal, and, most importantly, recognition. March is Women’s Month, and if there’s one thing this community represents, it’s the power of self-expression—something women in tattooing have fought to claim and redefine over the years. From breaking into the industry to shaping its future, their impact runs deep, and this month is a chance to celebrate that.
 
That idea of recognition got me thinking. This program is built to support artists at every level, and I want to create more ways to spotlight your work. So, how about a recurring tattoo competition? Each month, we’d highlight standout tattoos from apprentices, licensed artists, and sponsored artists, with the winners featured right here in the newsletter. It’s a way to showcase talent, bring more eyes to your work, and build up the community. Let me know what you think—would you be down to take part?
 
No major updates this week, but honestly, that just means more room to celebrate what you bring to the table. Let’s keep pushing, keep creating, and keep showing up for each other.

Brianna knew she wanted to be a tattoo artist long before most people took her dream seriously. "I was in high school when I got my apprenticeship. A lot of people thought I was crazy for going to school and then heading straight to the tattoo shop, but this is what I knew I wanted to do." She waited until she turned 18 before searching for the right shop, determined to break into the industry on her own terms.
 
Getting accepted into an apprenticeship was a surreal moment—one that came with both excitement and challenges. "Tattooing became my dream, but I knew it wouldn’t be easy. It was harder because I was a woman, and I wasn’t sure I’d be treated fairly. But that wasn’t going to stop me from pursuing my career." That drive pushed her forward, and from the moment she touched a machine, she was hooked. "Honestly, from that first tattoo, I just felt inspired. I knew this was what I was meant to do."
 
While Brianna enjoys working in a variety of styles, one stands out as her favorite. "Neo-Traditional has my heart. I love the smooth blends, bold lines, and the way light weights play into the overall design." Still, she refuses to be boxed into one approach, preferring to challenge herself and evolve with each new piece. "At the end of the day, they all bring me joy. I just don’t want to be stuck in one style."
 
For Brianna, tattooing is about more than just the final product—it’s about the experience, the connection, and the trust between artist and client. "Watching the art come to life on someone’s skin, knowing they’ll carry it with them everywhere they go, that’s the best part." She encourages clients to embrace the process and put their faith in her artistry. "Trust is huge. I always tell my clients to trust that I can bring their vision to life. Reference photos help, but believing in the process makes all the difference."
 
She’s currently working on a major back-piece cover-up for a coworker and friend—one of her most exciting projects to date. And when it comes to aftercare, Brianna is all about Mad Rabbit’s Soothing Gel. "All of my clients let out a sigh of relief when I apply it. It’s refreshing on hot, fresh skin, and it really brings out the colors and highlights of the tattoo."
 
What sets Mad Rabbit apart for her? "I’ve had other sponsorships where I was just another name on a list, but Mad Rabbit makes me feel seen and heard. The way they like, comment, and repost my work—it really means a lot."
 
Outside of tattooing, Brianna’s other passion is cars, but no matter what she’s working on, her goal remains the same: to push herself, trust her own vision, and keep creating art that lasts a lifetime.
